A friendly, family-oriented neighbourhood is reeling after a man in his 20s was killed after being repeatedly shot early Sunday on a street in Toronto's east end.
Staff Sgt. Allen Love at Toronto Police Service's 54 Division said police received several calls about the sound of gunshots on Langford Avenue near Fielding Avenue at about 12:15 a.m.
The victim was found in front of a house, said Sandra McLeod, deputy commander for Toronto Paramedic Services.
He was rushed to a local trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, where he died.
