Multiple injured after car ploughs into crowd outside Manchester hospital

AT LEAST two people are fighting for their lives after a car ploughed into a crowd outside a Manchester hospital.

Two people have suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck outside Withington Community Hospital in the south of the city.

One of the victims has been rushed to Wythenshawe Hospital while the other is now at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Witnesses said the car careened through a lamp post and into a barrier, injuring several people.

As well as the two people with serious injuries, there are several other "walking wounded", according to Greater Manchester Police.
