The former Tory leader boasted about Britain’s post-Brexit opportunities and claimed the UK must “identify” what Eurocrats value – namely economic prosperity.
An estimated 810,000 German cars were sold in Britain in 2015 – making it the largest export market anywhere in the world. Mr Duncan Smith claimed Britain should make the most of the leverage it has over other EU nations.
Speaking on BBC’s Brexit: Britain’s Biggest Deal, Mr Duncan Smith said: “The UK needs to identify very quickly every single nations real stake in this game.
“And the number one thing that politicians react to, is jobs.
“What happens when those million car workers in Bavaria, whose jobs rely on British exports, that’s one million people who are in work because they sell a large number of cars to the UK.
