Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

A good candidate for the anti-christ in my book...However, one verse doesn't seem to fit and is admittedly puzzling to me:

    Speaking about the anti-christ. Daniel11:37:
Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

as a side note: The above verse was KJV...The NIV reads differently:
He will have no respect for the gods of his ancestors, or for the god loved by women, or for any other god, for he will boast that he is greater than them all.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
  • Not surprising for someone who paid exorbitant amounts of money so he could operate from 666.

If the politicians treat people this poorly when they're armed to the teeth,

just imagine what they'll be willing to do once they've disarmed everyone.

Personally, the KJV translation makes more sense to me - why would there be a separate "god" worshipped by women that he could deny, and what would that "god" be?

A man who is married and has children could still be doing it for show if some alternate agenda was at play.

But nevertheless, if he is "that guy", what happens next?

    Antichrist is mentioned 4 times in the scriptures.  1John 2:18,    1 John 2:22,    2 John 7

and 1 John 4:3.    The antichrist is not One person but a CLASS of people. All who deny the Father and the Son are part of the antichrist.

John 4:3 says that the antichrist was already showing up in his day. The class of people that were denying Jesus was the son of God was already at work in Johns day.

1 John 2: 18 says just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming even now there are many antichrists.

1 John 2: 22 says who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ?  " This is the ANTICHRIST the one who DENIES THE " FATHER AND THE SON." So anyone that denies the Father and the son is part of the antichrist.  That's exactly what the scriptures say.

Jesus was praying to His Father in John Chapter 17 and in  John 17:3  Jesus says "This means everlasting life their coming to know you the only true God and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. According to scripture everlasting life depends on taking in accurate knowledge of the Father and the Son.

The whole chapter of Daniel chapter 11 is a prophecy concerning the king of the south and the king of  the North. Both kings are ruling powers, governments.

Analysing in conjunction with "he shall magnify himself above all" that verse could take on the meaning that the word "regard", rather than "look upon" refers to respect.  In older forms of  English an example "He/she was held in high regard".

Neither shall he respect (regard the God of his forefathers, nor)  the desire of women.

"Anti" from the Latin root means to be against or to oppose not necessarily an opposing person masking themselves as Christ.  How many fit that category of disbelief or denial of Christ?  Simply because the majority look on "Anti-Christ" to be one man purporting to be Christ or one wicked schemer who controls the world as Satan does, doesn't prove it to be so.  A populist (popular) view can be both right or wrong, it's just a trend people follow.

On the other hand if we decide to view from a political outlook if Jared Kushner is being backed (manipulated) by Soros then wouldn't that make Soros more likely to qualify as an anti Christ?

If the world searched as diligently for a place for Christ in their lives as hard as they do for the anti Christ the world might be a better place.

Taking crystal's clarifications from the Bible into view and looking at the world today there are many anti Christs and many who have little or no respect for women.
That's not to say that many women (feminists) haven't brought this plight upon themselves.

So essentially, it could be interpreted as the anti-Christ individual (or individuals) treating / viewing women poorly?

Is there the possibility that the Bible is referring to two instances: the first, describing everyone who turns away from the teachings of Jesus as being "anti", and the second as being an individual who so wholly embodies this rejection that he takes on the title?

That seems to be quite common and can women who claim to be feminists have any respect for themselves either, as they too are magnifying themselves above men and God. Following the stock market and popular show business stars (think Kardashians, Miley Cyrus) , football and trends above all else are examples of replacing Christ with   self indulgence or worship of self.  Mass media in its many forms is there to keep our focus on triviliality instead of reality.

Are you able to provide the reference point to the specific anti-Christ as it would be interesting to know. other than crystals reference I was unable to locate but am probably looking in the wrong places. I could only find mention of false prophets,  christs and  messiahs mentioned in the plural which of course would be impersonators or people claiming to be Christ, not an individual who is opposing Christ or anti-Christ.
